Leading in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate
The family-run EU slaughterhouse and cutting plant SIMON-Fleisch produces approx. 100,000 tonnes of meat for food consumption annually at its headquarters in Wittlich.

More than 90 % of all pigs slaughtered in Rhineland-Palatinate are slaughtered in Wittlich, the so-called “Säubrennerstadt”. With a production volume of around 22,000 pigs per week, SIMON-Fleisch GmbH is the leading company in the industry in Rhineland-Palatinate and is one of the ten largest slaughter companies in Germany. The slaughtering and cutting of cattle was discontinued in Wittlich in spring 2014 and has since been carried out exclusively at the subsidiary Klaus-Dieter Fuchs GmbH in Prüm.
Highest quality until delivery
In addition to the quality of the goods, on-time delivery is of decisive importance in the fresh meat trade. To ensure flexible and reliable deliveries to our customers, we mainly use our own fleet of vehicles. This consists of over 60 commercial vehicles.

For over 165 years, our family has been firmly connected to the region and regional agriculture. The origins of our family business date back to the middle of the 19th century. Back then, Jakob Simon laid the foundations as a livestock trader for what is now a fifth-generation family business.
One of the guiding principles of SIMON-Fleisch GmbH is our commitment to our home region – in the past, today and in the future. That is why we are constantly investing in our Wittlich site as well as our other locations in Prüm, Gerolstein and Lissendorf in order to make the company strong for future generations, to secure jobs in the region and to be a long-term partner to the agricultural sector. We have great respect for the important work of the farmers who supply us every day. We have known many of them personally for decades. We appreciate the constructive relationship as well as the high quality raw materials that are provided to us day after day.
Through constant investments, the dedicated work of our employees and the long-term relationships with our suppliers, we ensure the quality of the products and thus create trust among our customers, employees and partners.
